Welcome to Sharkology
This is a site devoted to sharks and the topics surrounding
them. The emphasis is on the biology of sharks, but you will
also find information on shark ecology, behavior and a number
of species. The purpose of this site is to be a helping tool
for those trying to gain insight in the mysterious and fascinating
world of sharks. The site is not finished and will hopefully
grow and contain more information and links as time goes.
If you think that something is missing or wrong, please let
us know. Anything that makes the site better is of great help.
The text may contain some technical language. Use the dictionary
in the upper right corner if there are words you don't understand.
The

Many thanks to Dan Burton and Klaus
Jost for letting me use their photos of sharks and to Azoteimages
for lending us some of their illustrations.
